Shumilov Vyacheslav (1931-2004), "Bridge", canvas, oil, 38 x 46 cm, Shumilov Vyacheslav (1931-2004) was born in Tver. The artist studied at Moscow School of Painting, where his teachers were V. Bakshev, S. Grigoryev, S. Kostina. From 1952 he was a participant of All-Russian exhibitions. His works can be found in The State Tretyakov Gallery, Tver Region picture gallery, a lot of other Russian museums, as well as in many museum and private collections all over the world: in USA, Japan, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Poland and Bolgaria. Shumilov Vyacheslav is Honored Artist of Russian SFSR (1978), the National Artist of Russian Federation (1991). In 2001 he was awarded with a silver medal of Russian Academy of Art.
